We have spent a lot of time working out the safest way in which we can deliver these lessons safely and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Please be aware that this has been an extremely difficult task but we are doing our very best to provide a safe environment for both our staff and our clients.

Please be assured that we are following all The British Horse Society’s and Government Guidelines in producing our safety procedures and risk assessments.

We can  offer beginner lessons to riders who have a competent ‘horsey’ adult with them and who is also happy to lead their pony.

You will need to provide your own hat/gloves/boots.

Our weight Limit of 13 stone is still in place and we hope you won’t be offended, but we may ask you to pop on our scales to double check that we have allocated you the appropriate sized horse

Can we please ask that you don’t arrive at our stables more than 10 minutes before the start of your lesson and that you do not wander around the centre.

To book, please call us anytime from 9am-5pm on 0161 969 5853.
Please do not come to our centre to book as we can’t accommodate unannounced visitors at this time.
All lessons must be paid for in advance and our usual cancellation policy will apply
We will only take bookings from clients who are fit and well and are not showing any virus symptoms.

We now need a rider registration form completed for all riders. Please read the terms, conditions and the riders code of conduct. Complete the form and only submit if you agree and are happy with the content of the form. Once you submit the form, a code will be sent to you which you must produce on arrival at our centre. registration form can be found at: https://www.carrington-rc.com/rider-registration-form/

Horse Riders Code of Conduct

I understand that riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions.

• I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.
• I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by staff and instructors of the riding school.
• I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat and body protector may reduce the severity of an injury should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear a riding hat whilst riding, leading and grooming horses at the riding school. I understand it is my choice whether or not I wear a body protector.
• I understand that the riding school will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be honest and volunteer information about:
• my abilities and riding experience
• any previous riding accidents
• any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride
• I understand that children are at particular risk around horses and agree that I will keep any children that I am responsible for, under close supervision when they are not being instructed by the riding school.
• I understand that the riding school may refuse my request to ride for safety or operational reasons.
• I understand that competing carries enhanced risk over and above general riding and agree that if I chose to participate in any competition or event, it is up to me to ensure that I have the experience and ability to ride the course including any jumps which form part of it. If I am in any doubt, I will use my judgment and experience and not enter.

We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation in these difficult times
